Mary Margaret grew up in Mexico City, Cali, Columbia, and Sao Paulo, Brazil; always visiting New Orleans where her extended family lives. After graduating from St. Timothy’s Boarding School in Maryland, she earned an art history degree from Newcomb College in New Orleans. After 22 years of living and working in Manhattan, she moved back to New Orleans, where she worked in the Healthcare Industry, specializing in memory care services for the elderly. After living internationally, and gaining extensive professional experience in client-based services, real estate was a natural fit.

Mary Margaret is fluent in Portuguese, and also speaks Spanish.  She has an ability to relate to local, national, and international clients.

Middie’s background includes coming from a large Irish family, residency in several countries, overseas military service with the U.S. Air Force, and a career government position. Then, the entrepreneur took over and he founded a successful sales and marketing company that was sold to employees just before moving to the Great Crescent City.

He embraced New Orleans, and loves his life here.  Armed with season tickets to the Film Society, the Friends of Music, and memberships with the Historic New Orleans Collection, The New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art,  he’s well entertained by this wonderful city.

 

TrainMiddie has  had the honor of being a board member of The Boys & Girls Club, board chair for the NOYEC, an active supporter and Board member with the Friends of Music, and for many years he has hosted Jazz radio programs, currently a 6-8:PM Central Time, Tuesday night show on WTUL, (streamed on the net), and previously for many years on WWOZ.

 

 

Two of Middie’s passions are automobiles, and motorcycles. The current apple of his eye is a 1995 Mercedes E320 Cabriolet, a lovely vintage ride.  Middie is also a life long motorcyclist with numerous solo transcontinental rides under his belt.  Current ride, a vintage BMW K1100RS.  He also speaks conversational French, German, and Spanish. He studies French at The Alliance Francaise, and has taken Italian lessons at the American/Italian Cultural Center.  Another great pleasure is going for walks in Audubon Park, and taking long bicycle rides on the Mississippi River levee bike path. New Orleans restaurants are a source of diet busting joy. A few of his favorites are Bistro Daisy, Clancy’s, Café Degas,  Mariza, St James Cheese Company, and The Joint, in Bywater.
